Mrs. Jacqueline Hutson McKinley, age 84 of Lilburn, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Mrs McKinley was born in Griffin, Georgia on April 25, 1930 to Bartow and Opal Hutson. She grew up in Griffin and graduated from Spalding High School. In 1952 she married Kimsey R. McKinley, with whom she had two daughters, Kimberly Daye and Karen Lynn. After a thirty year career with Southern Bell, Mrs McKinley and her husband moved to Lilburn, Georgia where she lived until her death.

Mrs McKinley was a keen traveller, sharing trips throughout the USA and abroad with her husband and a close group of friends. Among other destinations, she visited the summit of Mount McKinley, St Petersburg, the Panama Canal, and Glacier National Park. Mrs McKinley was an active member of the communities in which she lived and forged close relationships with others. Attending Harmony Grove United Methodist Church, she was a regular volunteer and participated in Harmony Class and the Share Sub-Group of UMW. Mrs McKinley worked with Meals on Wheels and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.

Mrs McKinley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many, who counted on her advice, wisdom, and sympathy. Her extensive group of friends have been extremely supportive to her during the last years of her life. Her family would like to especially recognize the residents of Beechwood Forest and parishioners of Harmony Grove.

She was loved deeply by her family and will be missed by many. Survivors include: her daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and John Potter of London, England, Karen and Patrick Agnew of Dacula, Georgia; grandchildren, Claire Potter, Sophie Potter, Phoebe Potter, Patrick  Murphy, Andrew Agnew and  Matthew Agnew; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Bill Reid of Williamson, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, Clifford and Edna Ruth Hutson of Griffin, Georgia; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mrs. Jacqueline McKinley will be on Saturday, July 19, 2014 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury. Reverend Jim Landis will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Harmony United Methodist Church, 50 Harmony Church Road, Lilburn, Georgia or to the Winship Cancer Center, 1365 Clifton Road, Building C., Atlanta, Georgia 30322 in memory of Mrs. McKinley.
