Mr. Larry Ford Peaden, age 77 of Griffin, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2014 at his residence.

Mr. Peaden was born in Barnesville, Georgia on June 29, 1937. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul William Peaden and Emma Gussie Peaden; brothers and sister, Ronald Peaden, Harry Peaden, and Gaynelle Sweatman; sister-in-law, Lois Eidson; daughter-in-law, Angi Peaden. Mr. Peaden was a Veteran of the United States Army and United States Air Force. He also served as a detective with the Atlanta Police Department for 20 years. Mr. Peaden was a loving father and husband who cherished spending time with his family. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years Pat Peaden; children, Laurie Riordan and husband Dan, James Peaden, Doug Peaden and wife Susan, and Sherrie Hodges and husband Cliff; grandchildren, Christopher, Charity, Lauren, Christian, Hannah, Brittney, Joshua, Miller, Mitchell, Cliff and Landry; six great grandchildren; sister, Paulette Durden; brother-in-law, Norman Brown and W.L. Eidson; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mr. Larry F. Peaden will be Sunday, July 27, 2014 from 6:00pm until 8:30 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be conducted Monday, July 28, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury. Following the service, the Griffin Chapter of Marine Corp League will render military honors.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southside Baptist Church Fascia Board Fund.
