Mr. Perry Coker, age 75 of Griffin, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Piedmont-Henry Hospital, Stockbridge, Georgia.

Mr. Coker was born in Griffin, Georgia on June 7, 1938. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hugh Dorsey Coker and Frances Glanton Coker Grogan. Mr. Coker was a former member of West Sunny Side Community Church, a retired contractor and former Spalding County Commissioner from 1985 -1991. He was a member and supporter of the NRA, an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting and sports.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Hilda Thaxton Coker; sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Detrial Del Coker, Danny and Sherrie Coker; daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Steve Minyard; 5 grandchildren, Anna Osteen and her husband Jesse; Jason Minyard, Brandon Coker and his wife, Amanda, Jennifer Whaley and her husband, Tim, Zoey Coker; 4 great grandchildren, Christian Perry Osteen, Cortland Ewing, Natalie Yarbrough, Gabrielle Whaley; sisters, Sherrell McPherson Scott, June Keel; brothers, James Coker and Tommy Coker; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mr. Perry Coker will be on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend Billy Anderson, Brandon Coker, Reverend Hugh Smith will officiate.
