Shirley Ann Elders, age 65, of Griffin, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Emory Hospital.
Shirley was born in Fulton County, Georgia on May 31, 1949. She is preceded in death by her father, Tommy H. Elders. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in McDonough.
Survivors include mother, Mattie Garner Carroll; sister, Peggy Fuller; brothers, Tommy Elders and Aaron Elders; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Shirley Ann Elders will be on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday August 21, 2014 at 2:30 pm at Piney Woods Baptist Church, 877 Rockmart Road, Buchanan, Georgia 30113. Reverend Dan Jones will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Shirley will be carried to the church on Thursday to lie-in-state from noon until the hour of service.
