Mrs. Betty Jean Reid, age 82 of Griffin passed away Friday, December 22, 2017.

Mrs. Reid was born in Greer, South Carolina on October 17, 1935. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Fuller Brown and Jennie Belle Connor Brown; her husband, Bobby Eugene Reid, Sr.; brother, Wallace Brown; sisters, Mary Jones and Vivian Shivers. Betty worked as a Sub Assembler at Snapper.

She is survived by her sons and their spouses, Eugene, Jr. and Kathy Reid, Rickey Reid and Sandra Carter; grandchildren, Daven and Carolan Reid, Blake Reid and Sarra Stokes, Jordan and DeAnna Reid, Anslea Reid and fiancée Michael; great grandchildren, Alyssa, Dixie, Bella, Hunter, Alexis and Jaylen; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara Pierce-Otto and Dave; step-grandchildren, Brandy Moore, Billy and Tina Hatchett, Daniel Boyle and Jamie; special nephew, Lamar Tomlin; lifelong friends, Barbara Edwards, Faye Baugh.

A visitation for Betty Jean Reid will be Sunday, December 24, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 1:00pm until 2:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, Dr. Benny Tate and Dr. Jack Landham will officiate. Interment will follow in Griffin Memorial Gardens.
