Mrs. Betty Pruitt Thurston, age 89 of Griffin, Georgia passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Thurston was born in Griffin, Georgia on September 13, 1927. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Wiley Pruitt and Grace Newman Pruitt: her husband, Don Thurston; sisters, Edna Addison, Jewel Pitts and brother, J.W. Pruitt, Jr.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Thomas D. and Kathy Thurston; daughter, Vicky Thurston; daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Barry Wilson; grandchildren, Kelly and Todd Harris, Trey and Gabby Thurston, Courtney and Win Fraysure, Chris and Jenny Wilson, Ryan Wilson, Kyle Wilson; great grandchildren, Marley Harris, Landon Fraysure, Easton Fraysure, Lexi Thurston, Cade Wilson, Alayna Wilson; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Betty P. Thurston will be on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 12:00 pm until 1:30 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation a graveside funeral service will be conducted in Oak Hill Cemetery. Reverend Donnie Thurston will officiate. The family wishes to thank all the caregivers who were so good and kind to Miss. Betty. You are appreciated more than you will ever know.
