Dear Michelle and family,

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I remember meeting David soon after coming to helm the GDN in 1994. He struck me right away as super bright, and he was always affable and congenial. My condolences, Ron

Michelle, Henry, Bill and family, I just wanted you to know how special David was to me. When David, Pat Horne, Pat Akin, and several others came to our house in Sunny Side it was total entertaining from them all. They seemed to feed of each other's comments. They were all gentlemen to me. I loved them all, I know how much they meant to Grady and Tim. I know Grady and Tim always enjoyed going.to the Phillips home. This old world has lost "A One of a Kind", David Phillips.. My Prayers are sent for you and the entire family, love to all, Camellia (Banister) Hollingsworth

We will always remember David for his quick wit. We didn't see him very often but when we did he always seemed genuinely glad to see us. We will be praying for the family.

My sincere and heartfelt condolences to Michele and Dave's family for your loss. Dave was one of my best friends and of great influence in getting me into firearms collecting. I spent many hours at his shop learning and sharing information. The guns I purchased from him will now take on an additional significance to me as treasures mementoes of my association with such a man of high character and integrity. While I knew he was ill, I was unaware of his untimely passing until this morning and am extremely saddened. He will be missed.

Michelle, I'm so sorry for your loss,
Death is never easy, the Bible even calls death an enemy (1 Corinthians 15:26).
It has had some effect on everyone and there is help for everyone who is grieving, it's found in the Bible at Psalms 34:18 and of course from those who love us. Proverbs 17:17 says "A true friend shows love at all times,And is a brother who is born for times of distress" With spiritual support and support from friends I know you can heal. Never forget the resurrection promise that gives hope of seeing our dead loved ones again (John 5:28,29).
Sincerely,
Angie

David was a gift that was shared by God to brighten lives of those that knew him. He was the kind of man that made you smile as soon as you saw him. Why he was taken so early in life is always a sad time. However, we do know that Heaven is even more joyful now that David has arrived. We pray that God helps heal the pain and gives you peace during this time of grief.

I am so sorry to hear this.....David was one of my students at Griffin High School. As his Choral Director, I appreciated his wit, lack of inhibition, work ethic and general BS ability.
Simply put, David was one that you wanted on your team when you were doing a show. He was my friend!

I'm praying for healing and comfort for all those who are grieving.

It was my profound pleasure to know Dave for many years. I, like many I'm sure, came to know Dave from Griffin Pawn and later his business. Dave possessed a wealth of knowledge concerning many things and was always a joy to be around. To Michelle and family, I extend my most sincere condolences at this time of immense loss. May you all know the grace of God during this difficult time and in the days that follow.
