Donnie Lee Sanders

Donnie Lee Sanders, age 54 of Griffin, Georgia, passed away at his residence on April 21st, 2024 after a short battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

Donnie was born in Griffin Georgia on July 2, 1969 to Leroy and Maxine Gaddy Sanders. His father, Leroy Sanders, and sisters, Kim Jackson and Denise Sanders preceded him in death.

Donnie enjoyed spending time with his family and friends while cooking on the grill and drinking a cold beer. He worked for MARTA for the last 25 years, where he was a Superintendent of Railcar Maintenance.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy Sanders; sons, Devin Sanders (Danielle), Michael Summerfield (Morgan), Ben Summerfield, Jason Sanders; grandchildren, Garrett Sanders, Mason Summerfield, Holden Summerfield; mother, Maxine Sanders; special daughter, Fame Summerfield; family-in -laws, Wayne and Gwen Duke; brother-in-law, Tim Gresham; niece and nephews, Deidra Jackson, Brett (Peyton) Jackson, Robert (Jolee) Gresham and Jeremy (Shannon) Stevens.

A visitation for Donnie Sanders will be Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home followed by a memorial service in the chapel officiated by Ryan Evans.
