Frances Smith Godard, age 91 of Griffin, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017.

She was co-owner of Godard Clothing in Griffin, is a member of Damascus Christian Church and attended Williamson Christian Church.

She is preceded in death by, her parents, John D. Smith and Lucy Glazier Smith; husband, Marion C. Godard, a minister of 45 years; sisters and brothers in law, Kathleen and Greene Sanders, Rebecca and Jimmy Crawford, Peggy and Ernest Giles.

She is survived by, daughter and son in law Fay and Forrest Cobb; son and daughter in law, Kerry and Pam Godard; grandchildren, Kellie Cobb Cook and husband Mike, Laura Cobb Beaber and husband Gene, Mary Kate Godard, all of Griffin; Sydney Godard Armistead and husband Walker of Ft. Worth, Texas; great-grandchildren, Carson Cook, Macie Beaber, Blythe Armistead, Walker Armistead, Jr.; sister in law, Joanne Podhorez; nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Frances Smith Godard will be Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home.  Following the visitation, a graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 pm in Oak Hill Cemetery.
