Mr. Harvey Jefferson Shavers, age 70 passed away Tuesday May 16, 2017 at Spalding Regional Hospital.

Mr. Shavers was born February 23, 1947 in Griffin, GA. He is preceded in death by parents, Clarence Shavers and Mamie Stewart Shavers; daughter, Brooke Shavers; sister, Brenda White and husband Carlton. Mr. Shavers loved to spend time with family and friends. He also enjoyed being outdoors and riding his tractor. Mr. Shavers was a member of West Sunny Side Community Church.

Survivors include wife, Ruby Dorsey Shavers; son, Kane Shavers and wife, Lori; grandson, Jake Shavers; brother and sister, Copeland Shavers and wife, Alice and Betty Hayes; mother-in-law, Martha Dorsey; sister-in-law’s, Elizabeth Laster, Joyce Brown, Rita Smith and Martha Ann Wells; brother-in-law, Roger Dorsey; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mr. Harvey J. Shavers will be Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Conner Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation a memorial service will be conducted in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend Billy Anderson will officiate. A family interment will be held.
