Hugh C. Cole, age 61, of Griffin, Georgia passed away on Friday, October 13, 2017.

Hugh was born on March 12, 1956 in Rutherfordton, North Carolina. He is preceded in death by his father, Louis Nanney; father-in-law, Auburn Cofield. Mr. Cole Retired from the Griffin-Spalding County School System. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. Mr. Cole was a member of First Baptist Church of Orchard Hill.

He is survived by wife Laura Cole of Griffin; daughter, Mary Ellen Cole of Griffin; mother, Juanita Nanney of Miami Lakes, Florida; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Dayna Cole of Pembroke Pines, Florida; niece, Jaymie Cole of Pembroke Pines, Florida; mother-in-law, Louise Cofield of Graham, Alabama;, aunts, Lucy and Margie; uncle, Bill.

A visitation for Mr. Hugh Cole will be on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 12:00 pm (EST) at Bethel East Cemetery in Woodland, Alabama. Reverend Nelson Grist will officiate.
