Mr. Jack William Moore, Sr., age 75, of Griffin passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Brightmoor Hospice.

Mr. Moore was born in Cleveland, Tennessee on September 23, 1941. He is preceded in death by his parents, George Boss Moore and Lula Belle Bridges Moore; brothers and sisters, James Kessler Moore, George Ernest Moore, Betty Winkler and Ostine Gowan. He retired from Burlington Air Express as a warehouse supervisor. Mr. Moore was a devoted husband and a loving father and grandfather.  

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Presley Moore; son, Jack W. Moore, Jr. and wife, Joanie; daughter, Cynthia Moore Rutherford and husband, Garland; grandson, James Moore and wife, Ashley; brother, Lloyd P. Moore and wife, Ann; sister-in-law, Cova Moore; several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Jack Williams Moore, Sr. will be on Sunday, June 11, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend Ronald Presley will officiate.  Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
