Mr. James David “J.D.” Hall, age 69 of Jonesboro, Georgia passed away on Monday, September 18, at Regency Hospital in Atlanta.

Mr. Hall was born in Atlanta, Georgia on February 16, 1948. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Kathryn Hannah Hall; brother Thomas Hall. Mr. Hall was a United States Army Veteran and served in Vietnam. He was employed with the City of Fayetteville Waste Water Management after retiring from the City of Atlanta.

He is survived by his wife Sally Hall of Jonesboro; daughters Jessica Ike of Griffin and Catherine Johnston of Jonesboro; son Joseph Simmons of Jonesboro; grandchildren Micheal Ike, Adaora Ike, Nenna Ike, Victoria Ike, Selena Lopez, Delaney Johnston, Kalissta Johnston, Jeffery “Skip” Johnston, Makayla Kontz-Simmons and Natalie Kontz-Simmons; sister Patsy; sisters in law, Patty Wiley & husband Stanley, Kathy Ogburn & husband Dale Lowery; brother in law David Ogburn, & wife Linda and several nieces and nephews; special family friend, Aubrey Whitten.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 2 pm until 4 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Kathy Ogburn will officiate.
