James "Jim" David Wade

James “Jim” David Wade, age 79, of Hampton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Eternal Hope Hospice.

Jim was born in Atlanta, Georgia on July 11, 1944. His parents, George Wade and Edna Hale Scott preceded him in death.  Jim retired with Georgia Power with over 35 years of service. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Jim’s hobbies were collecting and restoring old cars. He also enjoyed working out in the yard and spending time with family.

Jim is survived by his wife, Shirley Hall Wade, of 44 years; children, James David Wade, Jr., Mindy Hunt, Misty Clay (Jeff) and Scott Wade (Cheryl), Billy Hunt (Sandy); grandchildren, Kyle Hunt (Emalee), Katelyn Conaway (Christopher), Mandy Cook (Randall), Colby Edison (Courtney), Trey Price, Reana Kuraska (Joshua) and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Hudson, Sophia, McKinlee, Maren, Lily, Rory, Henry, Ryan, Lydia, Ricky and Addelynn; siblings, George “G.W.” Wade and Erma Sue Jackson.  He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and extended family.

A visitation for James “Jim” David Wade will be Friday, March 22, 2024 from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend Curt Johnson will officiate.
