Mrs. Jane Willis age 80 of Griffin, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Willis was born in January 1937 in Crawford, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Clyde Robertson and Mary Howard Robertson. She moved to Lafayette, Georgia where she grew up and later attended the University of Georgia. She met her husband Bobby at UGA on a blind date and they married on September 10, 1956. Mrs. Willis started working in her husband’s family business, All-Star Knitwear in 1960. She was a member and had served as President of the Utility Club of Griffin, Women’s Investment Club, and longtime member of the “Crazy Eights” Bridge Club. Mrs. Willis was a member of Griffin First United Methodist Church. Jane was a loving caring wife, mother, “Gran Gran” and friend. She loved being around her family and friends to tell us what to do next.

She is survived by her husband, R.W.” Bobby” Willis, Sr. ; sons Bobby Willis Jr. and wife Julia, and James Willis and wife Christy; grandchildren, Hallie Elizabeth Willis, Jay Willis, and Mary Catherine Willis; a sister Mary Howard Robertson.

Visitation for Mrs. Jane Willis will be on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM in the welcome center of First United Methodist Church. Following the visitation, a Funeral service will be held in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church with Reverend Med Roach officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
