Mr. Johnny C. Gowen, age 73 of Griffin, Georgia passed away Monday, November 27, 2017 at Wellstar Spalding Regional Hospital.

Johnny was born January 5, 1944, in Atlanta, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny C. Gowen, Sr. and Julia Thornton Gowen. Johnny was retired from the State of Georgia as an accountant. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Shirley Gowen; daughter, Robin Gowen; granddaughter and husband, Jamie and Vincent Oakerson; 3 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Ronnie Duke.

A memorial service for Mr. Johnny C. Gowen, Jr. will be held at a later date.
