Mr. Joseph Marion Chandler, age 73 of Florida passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in Mount Dora, Florida.

Mr. Chandler was born in Atlanta, Georgia on August 27, 1943. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Francis Chandler and Mamie Viola Watts Chandler; wife, Dora “Dodie” Chandler; siblings, Mary Chandler, Gail Kinard, Beverly Cort, Sue Klingler, Raymond Chandler, Perry Chandler, and John Chandler. Mr. Chandler served in the armed forces and was a retired police officer. He loved spending time on the water fishing and enjoyed his garden.

He is survived by two children; his sister, Frances “Sissy” Chandler; several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Mr. Joseph Marion Chandler will be on Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation a funeral service will be conducted in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home with Dr. Keith Wesley officiating. Burial will be held at 2:00 pm at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.
