Mr. Joseph Ponzio, Jr., age 80, of Fayetteville, Georgia passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Ponzio was born on April 4, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Ponzio, Sr. and Barbara Galitcia Ponzio; sons, Joseph Ponzio, III and Nathan Ponzio; brothers and sisters, Mary Bezub, Frank Ponzio, John Ponzio, Gilda Gorecki and Anthony Ponzio. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served for 11 years. Mr. Ponzio was a loving father and grandfather who loved to spend time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ponzio; children, John and Deborah Ponzio, Jerry and Melvina Ponzio, Joni Ponzio and Jason and Nancy Ponzio; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation for Mr. Joseph Ponzio, Jr. will be on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Chaplin Gary Lewis and Jason Ponzio will officiate.
