Mr. Larry F. Gossett, age 76 of Sunnyside, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Wellstar Spalding Hospital

Mr. Gossett was born in Griffin, Ga. on January 29, 1941. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Josephine B. Gossett, his wife, Merry Gossett, daughter Alisha Gilbert, sister, Judy Gossett Stephens. He was retired Southern States in Hampton, a lifelong and active member of Sunny Side United Methodist Church. He was active all his life in Boy Scout Troop # 8, and former Mayor of Sunny Side.

Survivors include son, Jeff Gossett and wife, Erin; grandchildren, Krystian Scoggins, Brittany Gilbert; sisters, Linda Gossett Thomas, Jeanette Gossett Corley; brother, Clark Gossett; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins

A funeral service for Mr. Larry Gossett will be on Friday, February 24, 2017at 2:00pm Sunny Side United Methodist Church. Visitation will follow the service in the church fellowship hall. Reverend Charlie Starr will officiate. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Sunny Side United Methodist Church P.O.B ox 81, Sunnyside, Ga. 30284.
