Mrs. Marilyn Belvin Brown, age 65, of Griffin, passed away Tuesday, February21, 2017, at her residence.

Mrs. Brown was born in Griffin, Georgia on March 14, 1951. She is preceded by her parents, Gene and Etta Jones Belvin. She was a member of St. George Episcopal Church. Marilyn was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend.

She is survived by husband of 47 years, George Brown; son, Will Brown and brother, Gene Belvin; one aunt; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.


Visitation for Mrs. Marilyn Belvin Brown will be on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at St. George Episcopal Church Parlor. Following the visitation a funeral service will be conducted in the sanctuary. The Reverend Nancy Shepherd will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
