Michael L. Thompson

March 13, 1951 ~ September 13, 2017 (age 66) 66 Years Old

Michael Lane Thompson, age 66, of Griffin, Georgia transitioned to his heavenly body Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at Eternal Hope Hospice.

Mike was born March 29, 1951 in Griffin, Georgia to Horace and Dorothy Thompson.
He loved and was dearly loved by his brothers, Lee Thompson and Ron Thompson and his sister, Ann Millwood.

On September 13, he reunited with the love of his life, his wife, Ann Pitts Thompson.

Mike was a 1969 graduate of Griffin High School. He was owner and lead artist at J. Michael’s Frameworks in Fayetteville, Georgia and Griffin, Georgia. His talent in design and art was noted in popular art and framing magazines. He framed and installed art for hundreds of clients, including Evander Holyfield and Sugar Ray Leonard. It’s a beautiful and rare gift when one’s career and passion collide. Art was this gift for Mike. And, his work will continue to be appreciated and admired for years to come.

Mike does not leave this earth void of his light and his love. It will continue to be felt and seen in the lives of his son Jared Thompson and his wife, Crystal. It will continue to be felt and seen in his daughter, Chelsea Thompson. And, it will continue to heard in her music. His passion for life and his love of the dance floor will continue to be felt and seen in his grandson, Grayson Michael Thompson.

He was known and loved by so many people in the community. He had the remarkable ability to make everyone around him feel important and loved. This is why so many called him their dearest friend. His infectious smile and contagious laugh will be missed. But, his love and care of people will continue to be felt forever.
