Mrs. Mildred W. Adams, of McDonough, passed away 10 days from her 91st birthday at Mount Carmel Assisted Living.

Mrs. Adams was born in Ellenwood, Georgia, January 24, 1927. She is preceded in death her parents, Homer & Lillie Pauline Carroll Woods, and her husband, Thomas R. Adams. Mrs. Adams' favorite activity in the evening was watching sports. She loved the GA Tech Yellow Jackets and the Atlanta Braves.
   
Mrs. Adams retired from Fulton Federal Saving and Loan Association.

She is survived by daughter, Kim Hamlet, McDonough; grandchildren and spouses, Cristi and Rich Schmeltz, Denver CO, Michelle Thomas, Hampton, and Cody and Jordan Hamlet, Decatur. Also surviving are several cousins and extended family.

A visitation for Mildred W. Adams will be on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend Gene Luke will officiate.
