Mr. Oscar Allen "Dit" Gresham, 76 of Griffin, Georgia, passed away quietly at his home on October 16, 2017, after a lengthy illness.  Mr. Gresham retired from Coca Cola and for many years was the owner and operator of Dit's Too, a convenience store on High Falls Rd.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served aboard the aircraft carrier USS BENNINGTON during the Vietnam Nam War.  Mr. Gresham was a former member of the Griffin-Spalding County Board of Education. 

Mr. Gresham was born on November 19, 1940, to the late Eria and Lila Gresham.  He is predeceased by sisters Emmie Martin and Claudette Branch and one brother, Ronald E. Gresham, father-in-law, Thomas E. Bowles, and sister-in-law, Janet Bowles Ragan.

Mr. Gresham is survived by his wife, Nancy Bowles Gresham; son, Tim Gresham (Tami Stephens); daughter and son-in-law Tammy and Donnie Sanders; sister Evelyn McCullough; grandsons, Michael Daulton Summerfield (Ashley), Benjamin Summerfield, Devin Sanders (Danielle), Robert Gresham (Madison), and Jeremy Stephens; great-grandsons, Mason Summerfield, Holden Summerfield, Kody Conkle, Jase Sanders, and great granddaughter Hadley Conkle.  Other survivors include mother-in-law, Annelle Bowles; sister-in-law, Pat Gresham; nieces, Lindsey Ragan, Callie Bloodworth (Caleb); nephews, Greg Gresham, Gary Gresham, Mark McCullough, and Barry Branch.

It was Mr. Gresham's wishes that no services be held. The family will receive family and friends for a visitation on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 7-9 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home.
