Mr. Richard O’Brien, age 82 of Griffin, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017.
   
Mr. O’Brien was born December 2, 1934 in Jersey City, New Jersey. He is preceded in death by his wife Doris Cunningham O’Brien; parents Andrew E. and Marguerite O’Brien; sister Jean McMahon and husband, Philip; sister-in-law and brother in law Mary and William Walling. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was employed at Eastern Airlines for 33 years.

Survivors include his son Gregory and his wife Susan O’Brien of Hazlet, NJ; grandson Sean O’Brien of Hazlet; sister Dr. Patricia Macchia and her husband Dr. Robert Macchia of Sanibel, FL; brother in law Gerald and his wife Patricia Cunningham of Griffin; sister in law Marcia and her husband Roger Strattan of Griffin; many nieces and  nephews.

Burial of cremains with military honors for Richard O’Brien will be on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 2:30 pm at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, GA.
