Runette Cook Watts, age 85, formerly of Griffin passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Ashbrook Village Senior Community in Villa Rica.

Mrs. Watts was born August 30, 1932 in Griffin, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents James F. Cook and Thelma Rhodes Cook; brother, James Rhodes Cook. She worked at First National Bank in Griffin for many years. Mrs. Watts loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was a member of Second Baptist Church, teaching Sunday school and playing the organist and piano.

She is survived by husband, Robert Harold Watts; daughter, Karen Sardonia and husband, Scott; son, Rob Watts; grandchildren, Kristen Wheelock and husband, Steve, Matthew Steger and wife, Katarina, Leigh Ellen Magness and husband Jordan and Lindsey Watts; great-grandchildren, Hudson Magness, Rhodes Magness, Smith Baiad, Ethan Wheelock, Zander Schmer-Lalama, Oliver Steger and Penelope Steger; sister-in-law, Barbara Hall Cook; nephew, Jim Cook.

A visitation for Mrs. Runette Cook Watts will be on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Conner-Westbury funeral home. Reverend Rusty Griffith will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
