Mrs. Sadie Williams Phillips, age 78 of Griffin passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017.

Sadie was born in Griffin, Georgia on November 8, 1939. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. (DeDe) Phillips; her parents, Bernard and Mary Goggans Williams, brother, Jimmy Williams. Sadie was retired from the Georgia Department of Revenue as Head of Central Accounting. She is a member of Carver Road Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Pam Phillips; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Glenda Phillips; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Maghan and Cody Knowles; grandson, Devin Stahl; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Calvin and Diane Phillips; several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Sadie W. Phillips will be Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 11:00 am at Carver Road Baptist Church. Pastor Tom Summers will officiate. Interment will follow at Rehoboth Baptist Church. Mrs. Phillips will lie-in-state 1 hour prior to the services.
