Sara B. Collins, age 87 of Griffin, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017.

Sara was born on September 22, 1930 in Athens, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents, W.B. Brown and Ruby Martin Brown. She was retired from the Griffin-Spalding County School System Nutrition Department, was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church.

She is survived by daughter and son in law, Kaye and Eddie Johnson, sons and daughters in law, Michael and Donna Collins, Randy and Leslie Collins; grandchildren / spouses, Brian and Kelly Johnson, Ben Johnson, Claire and Keith Cannon, Katie and Joe Leikam, Josh and Lauren Collins, Brittany Green; great grandchildren, Gabe, Aubrey, Kate, Taylor, Patrick, Vincent and Ayden; brother, Donald Brown; sister, Reba Jones; several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Sara B. Collins will be Monday, December 11, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Dr. S. Ed Hoard and Reverend Jim Cannady will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
