Sarah Florence Martin

Sarah Florence Martin, age 108 of Hampton, Georgia, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 20, 2024.

Mrs. Martin was one of six children born to Andrew C. Moore and Addie Beatrice Andrews Moore. She grew up on a farm and walked 2 miles each day to attend Liberty Hill School until the 8th grade when, at the age of 16, she met and married Odus Martin and together they had 4 children. Her parents, husband, Odus, son, James Odus Martin and daughters, Betty Martin, Peggy Brown, all preceded her in death.

Mrs. Martin is survived by her son, David Martin, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter.

Visitation for Mrs. Martin will be Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A graveside service for Mrs. Martin will be Sunday, March 24, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Reverend George P. Lanier will officiate.
