Tommy G. Brooks, age 72 of Griffin, Georgia passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Tommy was born in Griffin, Georgia on September 12, 1945. He is preceded in death by his parents, Homer Brooks and Alta Sledge Brooks; great-grandson, Bryce Birdwell. Tommy worked for Southern States as a tool and die maker. He loved old cars, deer hunting and being on his own farm.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Linda Brooks; children and spouses, Vicky Long and husband, Thom, Kenny Ayers and wife, Mandy; grandchildren and spouses, Timothy Birdwell and wife, Aimee, Karla Wolfe and husband, Jason, Jon Gibbs, Logan Long and Elizabeth Harvey; great-grandchildren, Caleb Aspinwall, Noah Birdwell, Reese Long and Roamie Long.

A visitation for Tommy G. Brooks will be on Wednesday December 13, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Pastor Kevin Judy will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to New Salem Baptist Church youth fund in honor of Tommy Brooks Life, 57 Bicycle Road Griffin, Georgia 30223.
