Mrs. Fields was born in Washington, Georgia on June 27, 1950 to the late Charles Hendrix Smith and the late Emma Mae "Emily" Beazley Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Fields. Mrs. Fields was employed with the Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers Law Firm. She attended Midway United Methodist Church. Mrs. Fields is survived by her son, Denver Perkins; grandchildren, Brittney Lee Wyatt, and Jacob Alexander Bethune; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie "Toni" and Larry Evans, Charlene and Charlie Hayes; brothers and sister-in-law, Charles and Penny Smith, Louis Smith; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Oralyn Fields will be conducted on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend Terry Hunter will officiate. Friends may visit the family from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 301 Kelly Drive, Suite 3, Peachtree City, GA 30269 in memory of Mrs. Oralyn Fields.
