Name: Frances Elizabeth Baxter Date: October 24th, 1931 - July 28th, 2010 Obituary: Mrs. Frances Elizabeth Pioda Baxter, 78 of Griffin, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Spalding Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Baxter was born in Atlanta, GA on October 24, 1931 to the late Louis John Pioda and the late Adele Mays Pioda. She volunteered at the Salvation Army and visited local area nursing home. She was a loving, caring Mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by all. Mrs. Baxter was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints. Survivors include children and their spouses; Brenda and Thomas Adams of Jackson, Pat O’Neal of Griffin, Denise Frierson of Griffin, William Baxter of Cobbtown, GA, Deborah Kligel of Dublin, GA, John and Nellie Baxter of The Rock, and Mary Lewis of Montgomery, AL; 21 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; sister, Jena Davis of Conley, GA; many friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Baxter will be conducted on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Bishop Kenny Hannekamp will officiate. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
