"Mike" McDaniel Date: January 31st, 1935 - January 28th, 2010 Obituary: Mr. Howard W. “Mike” McDaniel, age 74, of Brooks, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Christian Ministries Hospice. Mr. McDaniel was born on January 31, 1935 in Meansville, GA to the late Fred Douglas McDaniel and the late Lena Estelle Turner McDaniel. He was also preceded in death by his son, Trace McDaniel. Mr. McDaniel was a member of Providence First Baptist Church of Williamson. Mr. McDaniel was a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Korea. He owned and operated an automotive repair business for many years. Mr. McDaniel was also a member of the Southern Cruisers Car Club of Griffin. Mr. McDaniel was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, he will be forever loved. Survivors include his wife, Gay McDaniel of Brooks; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Cathy McDaniel of Warner Robins, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Vickey and Robby Williams of Griffin, Kimberly and Brooks Ralston of Locust Grove, Dana Benton of Thomaston; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Pauline Johnson of Thomaston; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Howard “Mike” McDaniel will be conducted Sunday, January 31, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend Mike Dearing will officiate. Interment will follow in Fincher Cemetery in Meansville, GA. Friends may visit the family Saturday evening from 6pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.
