Amschler, age 87, of Griffin, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Spalding Regional Medical Center. Mr. Amschler was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on January 11, 1923 to the late Chester Louis Amschler and the late Signa Lennia Amschler. He was retired from Ralston Purina Co. and was a member of the Southside Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Annette Logan Amschler; sons, Ronald Wayne Amschler and Gary Blaine Amschler; stepchildren, Dr. Logan and Carol Smith, Paul and Sherry Smith, Mark and Brenda Smith, Carol and Hal Hill, Rita and Stan Miller, Lynn and Jim Moon; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 5, 2010 at 11:00 am in the chapel of the Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend Alton Miller and Dr. Mark Sellers will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Westwood Mausoleum. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
