Mr. Canup was born in Jefferson, GA on December 13, 1939 to the late Lee Canup and the late Essie Inez Porter. He was retired from Exo Pack as an electrician. Survivors include his wife Joyce Canup; daughters and son-in-laws, Lisa Hicks, Robin and Mark Swift, Jan and William Hasty, Tammy and Joe Maanao, Lisa and Shad Mitchell; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister, Mary Cramer; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, February 7, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend Gene Luke will officiate. Interment will follow in Rehobeth Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Saturday from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
