Mrs. Edgar Holt (Polly), passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Eternal Hope Home.
Mrs. Holt was born in Opelika, Alabama on April 25, 1918. She was 97 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Cordie Jones. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church. Polly was married to Edgar F. Holt and together they opened Holt Sheet Metal and Ornamental in1950. Her husband, Edgar died in 1974. Polly continued to operate the business until she sold it and retired at age 88 years old.
Survivors include her niece, Linda Gambino; life-long friends and care givers, Wilson and Marlene Woodham.
Service will be conducted on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 11:00am at Oak Hill Mausoleum. Those desiring may make a contribution to First Baptist Church.
