ALBERT "BONES" WHATLEY

Mr. Herman Albert “Bones” Whatley, Jr., age 85, of Griffin, GA passed away on June 6, 2021 at the Macon Medical Center.

Albert was born in Griffin, Georgia on September 14, 1935. His parents, Herman Albert “Bill” Whatley, Sr. and Eron Brooks Whatley preceded him in death. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Korean War. Albert was retired from the United States Postal Service and was a member of Searcy Memorial United Methodist Church.

Survivors include, his wife of 65 years, Martha Q. Whatley; sons, Mike and Pat Whatley, Chuck and Kimberly Whatley, Andy Whatley; grandchildren, Josh, Kristin and Ashley; two great grandchildren, Sophie and Vinton.

Graveside funeral service will be June 9, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Philadelphia United Methodist Church Cemetery, 309 Philadelphia Church Road, Hazlehurst, Ga 31539. The family ask that you please omit flowers, and please make a contribution to Searcy Memorial United Methodist Church, 205 Spalding Street, Griffin, Ga 30223 or to Philadelphia United Methodist Church, 309 Philadelphia Church Road, Hazlehurst, Ga 31539 in memory of Albert.
