Allen Wayne Simpkins

Allen “Soup Bone” Wayne Simpkins age 57, of Griffin, Georgia passed away Friday, November 19, 2021.

Allen was born in Griffin, Georgia on May 17, 1964. He is preceded in death by his father, Wayne Simpkins; grandparents, George and Marie Simpkins, Roy Bridges and Elsie McLean. Allen worked for Atlas Roofing Company for over 30 years as a supervisor. He loved his family and coworkers. Allen was a devoted Georgia Bulldog’s fan, always rooting them on.

Survivors include daughters, Julie Simpkins of Newnan and Jessica Simpkins of Griffin; mother, Jannel Holton of Griffin; siblings, Barry Simpkins of Griffin and Kristie (Terry) Ferrell of Brooks; grandchildren, Madison Simpkins of Newnan, Charlie Simpkins of Newnan, Garrett and Eli Daniel of Griffin and Skylar Ramsey; nephew and nieces, Cody Carroll, Nicholas Carroll and Chelsea Ferrell.

Visitation for Allen will be Monday, November 22, 2021 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home at 2:00 pm with Reverend Gene Luke officiating.
