Mrs. Ann Freeman, age 78, of Griffin passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Westbury Medical Care in Jackson, Georgia.

Mrs. Freeman was born in Tift County, Georgia on March 31, 1939. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lucius Edgar Whitworth and Ruby Dickens Whitworth; her daughter, Cherie F. Moore; her son, James Freeman. She was a member of Rock Springs Church.

She is survived by; her husband of 58 years, Marvin Freeman; grandchildren, Terry and Tammy Bazen, Krystal Johnson, Jessica Duncan, Kelsey Freeman; great-grandchildren, Anthony and Barry; brother and sister in law, Ray and Jean Whitworth; sister, Doris Mitchell; several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Mrs. Ann Freeman will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 11:00 am in the old sanctuary of Rock Springs Church. Mrs. Freeman will lie in state at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service. Interment will follow in the Rock Springs Church Cemetery. Dr. Benny Tate will officiate.
