Anthony Brown

Sir Anthony Brown, native son of Georgia and 1977 graduate of Decatur High School, passed peacefully in his sleep, on Sunday, September 9, 2018, in Birmingham, Alabama’s Ensley District.

Anthony is survived by his Father, Johnnie Lee Brown; his faithful companion of ten years, Beth Marie Webb, his daughters, Tamika (Makenzie, Sr) Brown McMullen and Jasmine Fambro; his siblings Annette Brown, Barnard (Laverne) Brown, Calvin (Johanna) Brown, Arleen Brown, Christopher (Tara) Brown, Benjamin (Jill) Brown. His great Uncles and Aunts, Richard (Betty) Harris, Jr, Flora Jean Holloway Brown, Ethel (W.B.) Brown, and Frankie (Arthur Dean) Brown. He leaves to mourn three Grandchildren, Antoine “Tiger” Scott; London C. McMullen and Mackenzie “CJ” C McMullen, Jr. His surrogate Granddaughters, Ivey, Avery and his beloved Evie. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Anthony was preceeded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, his Mother Gertrude (Johnnie) Brown, Aunts Geraldine Odom Harris and Doris (Francis E.) Thomas.

A memorial service for Anthony Brown will be Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home.
