Anthony R. Held

Anthony Reinhard Held, 78, of Griffin, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Wellstar Spalding Hospital.

Anthony was born on January 4, 1943 in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alice Brown Held and Reinhard Held, and wife, Patricia Miller Held. He was a retired Master Sargent from the United States Air Force, and served in the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his children, Toni Smith (Michael) and Brenda Oliver (Larry); grandson, Destin Smith; siblings, Connie Armstrong, Barbara Stebler, Linda Foss, Stephen Held, Theodore Held, Suzie Hinze; and several nieces and nephews.

A service will be on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 4:00 pm at Abiding Grace Lutheran Church in Covington, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Abiding Grace Lutheran Church, 5500 Georgia Hwy. 212, Covington, GA 30016.
