Atul Kumar Dey

Atul Dey was born in New Delhi, India on July 9th, 1955. While he was in Ambala, India, he fell madly in love with Indu and they eloped in 1981 just like a true Bollywood story. Soon he became a father to his daughter, Bhoomika while he was earning his MBA. He was an eager learner, passionate about his work, loved his wife, fun dad to his kids and gave more than he had to his family.
If he was here, he would say he is the smartest and the funniest person in the room. Most of the time it was true. He did everything with passion – work, love, care, paint, cook, and come up with million ideas on daily basis.
He was the person you could count on. Everyone in our family can recall memories of him having fun and joking the night away. He was the life of the party.  If asked, his relatives, nieces, and nephews would tell you how much of a role model he played in their lives. His enthusiasm for work, life, and goals was contagious.
He loved his dogs too – his other kids that actually listened to him.
Even when he was sick, he spent his last months dedicated to his newest passion, Art.
He was a fighter till the end.
He died at the young age of 65.
He is survived by his wife, Indu Dey, his daughter, Bhoomika, his son, Madhur, his daughter in law, Amy and his awesome and caring grandsons, Niam & Miach.
He will be greatly missed. His loud laughter can be heard. His awfully good jokes will be missed.
