Mrs. Barbara Ann Hammond age 79 of Barnesville, Georgia, moved to Heaven on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at her residence.
Mrs. Barbara Ann Hammond was born May 27, 1939, in Griffin, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents, Emmett Jewel Taylor and Pauline Ivey Taylor; brothers, Winford Taylor and Donald Taylor. Mrs. Hammond was co-founder of Hammond Services Heating and Air, was a devoted mother and grandmother, loved to bowl, fish and cook, and was a member of Center Point Church.
Survivors include the love of her life, her husband of sixty years, Edward Roy Hammond; children Nancy Hammond, David and Lisa Hammond, and Starla and Ken Brown; grandchildren, Vanessa Phelan, Melanie and Brandon Sampler, Taylor and Patricia McWilliams, Heather and Eric Godwin, Michael Hammond, Daniel Hammond, Ashley Dennis, Brooke and Brian Miller; great-grandchildren, Jackson Merritt, Aisley Sampler, Konnor Merritt, Kendall Merritt, Emma Phelan, Kayla McWilliams, Karly McWilliams, Kalvin McWilliams, Trinity Godwin, Kenneth Godwin, Riley Godwin, Kensleigh Dennis and Lexi Dennis; siblings, Ricky Taylor, Jane Stewart; sister-in-laws, Barbara Taylor, Sara Taylor and Imogene Taylor; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend special thanks and gratitude to all friends of the family and the loving caregivers who selflessly sacrificed their time to love our mother and grandmother, most especially April Williams, Kaitland Harvey and Compassus Hospice.
Visitation for Mrs. Barbara Hammond will be held on Monday, December 10, 2018, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home in Griffin Georgia. Celebration of life services will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at 1:00pm at Center Point Church in Griffin, Georgia. Pastors Gary Taylor, Tracy Stone and Ricky Taylor will officiate. Burial will follow in Griffin Memorial Gardens.
