Barbara Hughes

Barbara Whatley Hughes age 86 of Griffin passed away Monday, June 21, 2021.

Mrs. Hughes was born in Atlanta, Georgia on August 15, 1934. Her parents, Ivey O. and Ruby Morton Whatley, first husband, Bob York and second husband, Jack Hughes, all preceded her in death. She was a member of Harvest Baptist Tabernacle, Jonesboro. Mrs. Hughes was retired from Equifax.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Dianne York; grandchildren, Scott Biggs and wife, Angie, Duane Biggs and wife, Deanna, Melissa York; great grandchildren, Krista, Aaron, Caleb, Hannah and Hayden; siblings, Linda Slaton and husband, Henry, Earl Whatley and wife, Cathy, Dorothy Gramling; sister-in-law, Patsy Whatley; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Harvest Baptist Tabernacle, 1974 Walt Stephens Rd, Jonesboro. Reverend Joe Arthur will officiate. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery 1127 Eastview Road, NE, Conyers.
