Benny Ray Powers, age 75 of Williamson, Georgia passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Eternal Hope Hospice.
Benny was born in Griffin on November 30, 1946. His parents, Albert W. and Virginia Crawford Powers; sister, Frances McCarley and brother, Johnny Powers preceded him in death. He was a 1964 graduate of Griffin High School and obtained an Associate’s Degree from Truett McConnell. Benny retired from All Star Amusements.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Bonnie Ingram Powers; son, Brian Powers, daughter, Bain Warmack (John); grandchildren, Maci Lauren Allison (Brandon), Emily Morgan Wainwright, Christian Jacob Powers, Jonathan Warmack, Heath Warmack, Montana Warmack (Stephanie), Nolan Warmack (Montana); great grandchildren, Saylor Rose Allison, Evie Kate Allison, Harlow June Allison, Eli Warmack, and Jett Warmack; Sister-in-law, Barbara I. Jenkins; Brother-in-law, Hal Ingram (Georgianna); nieces, Ginger Tinley, Beth J. Adams (Bobby), Brittany J. Turner (Curtis), Madison Ingram, and nephew, Craig McCarley (Judy).
A visitation for Benny Powers will be Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm at Christ Chapel. A celebration of life will be in the sanctuary following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to Be The Light Foundation through Christ Chapel, 68 Old Zebulon Rd, Zebulon, GA 30295.
