Bettie J. Eady

Mrs. Bettie Killingsworth Eady, age 87 of Griffin, Georgia passed away Friday, February 14, 2020 at Eternal Hope Hospice.

Bettie was born December 27, 1932 in Griffin, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Killingsworth and Thera Killingsworth; her husband, Johnny F. Eady; son, Charles “Robbie” Hancock; brother, Merrel Killingsworth. Bettie owned and operated a beauty salon for many years. When she was not working she enjoyed crafting with friends, spending time with family, dancing and singing. Bettie spent her life caring and giving to many people. She was a long time and very active member of Midway United Methodist Church.

She is survived by son, Jonathan Eady and wife, Linda; grandchildren, Jon Eady and wife, Courtney, Ben Eady, Angie Wilson and husband, Brad, Jodie Culver; she also had several great-grandchildren; siblings, Bobbie Jean Campbell, Brenda Dix, Reverend Charles Killingsworth, Michael Killingsworth and Ricky Killingsworth; daughter-in-law, Patricia Webb; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be Monday, February 17, 2020 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 PM at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation a funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm in the chapel. Reverend Charles Killingsworth will officiate. Interment will be in Midway United Methodist Church Cemetery.
