Betty Martha Vaughan, age 85, of Griffin passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Eternal Hope Hospice.

Betty was born in Rome, Georgia on October 4, 1936. She was preceded in death by her husband Willie Randolph “Randy” Vaughan, her parents, John Kemp and Ruby Tidwell Kemp, her brother, John Kemp Jr. and wife, Pearl, and her stepson Jerald Randolph “Randy” Vaughan.

Betty was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed traveling, camping, golf, walking, bird watching, and spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great niece and nephew.

 Survivors include her partner, Leo Camp; daughters Julie Cooper, Karen Darmody (Kevin), stepdaughter Mary Vaughan, stepson Rick Vaughan (Walter) ; 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; niece, Ginger Cannon (Mike); great niece, Ashley Cannon; great nephew, Nick Cannon; her aunt, Sarah Snow and special cousin, Mildred Perkins.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff at Eternal Hope Hospice, The Woods Senior Living Center, and the church family at First Christian Church for their care and support during this difficult time.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 am Monday, May 23, 2022 at First Christian Church, 291 S. Pine Hill Rd., Griffin, GA.
