Billy Ray York

Mr. Billy Ray York, age 68 of Milner, Georgia, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018.

Mr. York was born on February 9, 1950 in Franklin, North Carolina. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bobby York and Cleta English York; son, Bryan Spratlin; brother, Tommy York. Mr. York retired from Brasfield and Gorrie Construction as a Superintendent. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. York was a member of Griffin First Assembly.
 
Survivors include his wife, Susan S. York; children, Sonia McLemore and husband, Chris, Shawn York; grandchildren, Sierra McLemore, Logan McLemore, Wesley Spratlin, Kaydence York, Baylee York; sister-in-law, Jane York; brother-in-laws, Randy, Timmy and wife, Rebecca, Jackie; several nieces and nephews; a special Young Man Zack Harmon.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Robert Hall, the Nurses and Staff on the first floor of WellStar Spalding Hospital, Kim Allen and Brightmoor Hospice for all the wonderful care shown to Billy and his family during his illness. 

Visitation for Billy Ray York will be Friday, December 14, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be Saturday December 15, 2018 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Dr. Randy Valimont will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
