Bobby Gene Bishop

Bobby Gene Bishop, age 84 of Moreland, Georgia passed away, Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Mr. Bishop was born in Fayetteville on November 4, 1936. His parents, Emmett Bishop and Pearl Holt Bishop ; son, Emmett Bishop; brother, James Bishop, George Bishop, Gerald Bishop, Warren Bishop; sisters, Eva Caldwell, Lorene Couch all preceded him in death. He was a mechanic and manager of Southerland Farms, a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Meriwether County.

Survivors include Loving Companion, Marion Glass; children, Diane Hill and husband, Steven, Ronald Bishop, Teresa Bishop, Renae Feltman and husband, Bill; daughter-in-law, Dyanna Bishop; sister, Doris O’Neal; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be Monday, January 11, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, 5971 Mt. Carmel Road, Gay. Family will receive friends and the graveside. Reverend Wendell Banks will officiate. In lieu of flowers, Mt. Zion Baptist Church, P. O. Box 106, Haralson, GA 30229
