Mr. Boyd Clayton Roark, Jr., age 80 of Barnesville passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Harborview of Thomaston.
Mr. Roark was born on September 2, 1938 in Sevierville, TN to the late Boyd Clayton Roark, Sr. and Lena Jane Chambers Roark. He is preceded in death by his wife Zula Marie Roark; son John Melvin Roark; sisters Helen Roark and Dorothy Manning. Mr. Roark served in the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army and worked as a diesel mechanic for Roadway Express, however, he will always be remembered as a wonderful father and grandfather.
He is survived by his daughter Stacie (Nathan) Mickler; grandchildren Sable (Ryan) Bramlett and Hawk Mickler; great-grandchildren August, Jameson and Phenix Bramlett; brothers Michael (Missy) Roark and Jackson (Cathy McDaniel) Roark; sisters; Della Rigsby and Linda (Greg) Wilson, along with several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Roark’s wishes were to be cremated and no services are planned at this time.
