Byron F. Smith

Byron Franklin Smith age 66 of Griffin, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Navicent Health Medical Center, Macon GA.
Byron was a lifelong resident of Griffin, born June 4, 1954. His parents Howard and Marie Smith preceded him in death. He was a 1972 graduate of Griffin High School. Byron started cutting hair at the age of 14. By the age of 19 he opened his first business California Concepts. Later he expanded his visions and created Byron Salons I and II, Salon Fitness Systems, and most recently Mystic Acres. Byron accomplished a lot in life. His life goal was to leave behind a legacy for his family and their generations to come.
Survivors include, loving companion, Jane Taylor; daughter, Kristian Sorrow and husband, Chad and their children, Paisleigh and Camp; daughter, Kholi Whelan and husband, Patrick and their son Patton; sister, Margaret Ann Smith; brother, Perry Smith.
 A celebration of life will be Saturday, December 5, 2020 from 3:00 pm until 6:00pm at Mystic Acres, 1631 Williamson Road, Griffin. In lieu of flowers the family would like you to consider making a donation to one of Byron’s favorite charities; Wounded Warriors Project or Katlyn’s Promise (Katlynspromise.org)
